During battle with the Nimiipuu, Lt. Wade Watts finds a blonde woman hiding a Nez Perce child. He believes she is a captive when her intelligent eyes reveal she understands his language. This book I really loved it, it was such a beautiful book that i cried it was a book that made you feel that you were right there with them all and you were going through everything they went through. Loved loved loved, please make these three books into movies but they have to be done exactly to the books.
As the third book in this series this story was very well written. I enjoyed the conflict that both characters had to endure and how it was not just put on one group but on the character of each individual and the consequences of actions. The history and descriptiveness was wonderful. And the characters of Lt. Wade Watts and Sa-quan very real and likable. I would recommend reading the first two books so as to understand the time lapse and the spirit Nez perce interactions as told in the stories.
