Murder of Ravens

Book 1 of Gabriel Hawke Mystery Series

The ancient Indian art of tracking is his greatest strength…
And also his biggest weakness.

Fish and Wildlife State Trooper Gabriel Hawke believes he’s chasing poachers. However, he comes upon a wildlife biologist standing over a body that is wearing a wolf tracking collar.

He uses master tracker skills taught to him by his Nez Perce grandfather to follow clues on the mountain. Paper trails and the whisper of rumors in the rural community where he works, draws Hawke to a conclusion that he finds bitter.

Arresting his brother-in-law ended his marriage, could solving this murder ruin a friendship?

“I was looking for a new author and series and came across Paty Jager and the Gabriel Hawke books. Wonderful!!!!!! I love the setting (beautiful Pacific NW), the characters (2 legged and 4!) and how the author draws you in with each chapter. I literally could not put the first book down! I’ve read all 4 and am eagerly awaiting the next one. A nice combination of murder 😉, the backstories of the characters, how they interact and continue to evolve with each book.” — Old Books, Amazon Reviewer

“A good murder mystery. I like the characters – Hawke is low key and wise. He sort of has a girl in his life… I guess we will find out more in the next book. True comments about Rez life. And Oregon – beautiful, varied Oregon – is a wonderful location for these stories. A good read. Looking forward to more!” — MarySZ
