Lisa de Nikolits is the award-winning author of thirteen published novels as well as numerous short stories, flash fiction and poetry. She loves featuring quirky characters in sticky situations and her fiction spans mysteries, suspense, speculative fiction, magical realism, domestic thrillers and noir hardboiled thrillers. Writing romance is on her wish list.
She has appeared on recommended reading lists for Open Book Toronto, 49th Shelf, All Lit Up, Chatelaine, Canadian Living, Hello! Canada, the Quill & Quire, the CBC, The Seaboard Review and the Toronto Star. The Occult Persuasion and The Anarchist’s Solution was longlisted for a Sunburst Award for Excellence in Canadian Literature of The Fantastic and The Rage Room was a finalist in the International Book Awards, 2021. Her short fiction and poetry have been published in various international anthologies and journals including the Crime Writers of Canada’s 40th Anniversary anthology (2022).
No Fury Like That was published in Italian in 2019 by Edizione Le Assassine under the title Una furia dell’altro mondo.
Lisa’s passions include training in martial arts (in between various injuries), riding Maxwell (her retro bicycle), daydreaming in her scant free moments, and reading or writing a new book.
Lisa de Nikolits has lived in Canada since 2000. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Philosophy and has lived in the U.S.A., Australia and Britain.
She has participated in several anthologies with Windtree Press. We hope to see a novel soon.
